Which Squarespace Website Package Is Right for You? (An Honest Breakdown)
Pin this post to Pinterest! ☝🏻
You'd be surprised how many people come to our discovery call thinking they need one thing and leave realizing they need something else entirely. Not because they were wrong, but because it's hard to know what you actually need until someone walks you through it.
That's exactly what this post is for.
Two of my most recent clients came in thinking they needed a full Multi-Page site. Both left with a Single Page site, and both were genuinely excited about it once we talked through why it made sense for where they were. There's no wrong answer here, just the right fit for your situation.
Before we get into the packages, two things worth saying upfront.
First: These aren't boxes you’re locked into.
The three packages below are starting points, not hard rules. Every project gets a custom proposal, and if your situation doesn't fit neatly into one of these, that's exactly what the discovery call is for. You can see full package details on my custom website page.
Second: A website is a tool, not a magic wand.
The best thing I can do is build you something beautiful, strategic, and ready to convert. But a website works best when you're actively sending people to it, whether that's through social media, email, word of mouth, SEO, or all of the above. The sites that perform best aren't just well-designed, they're well-promoted.
Oh, and one more thing: the process is exactly the same regardless of which package you choose. If you want to know what working together actually looks like from first call to launch day, I wrote a whole post about it.
The Single Page | $1,500+ | 1 week
A single page, custom designed from scratch, with a navigation menu at the top that uses anchor links to scroll to each section of the page. Quick note on that since it surprises some people: anchor links aren't separate pages, they're jump points that take you to different sections of the same scrolling page. Think of it as one long, beautifully organized page rather than a traditional multi-page site.
Here are a few examples of Single Page sites I've built: Sally West Coaching | Bosque River Boykins
This is the right fit if:
You're just starting out and need a polished, professional online presence without a big investment
Your business is straightforward enough to tell its story on one page
You don't need a blog, ecommerce, or multiple service pages
You need something live quickly
Budget is a real consideration right now (Honestly, something intentional and well-designed will always serve you better than just a Facebook page)
A few honest limitations:
SEO is more limited on a single page site. With everything living on one URL, you're competing for multiple keywords in one place rather than having dedicated pages targeting different search terms
No blogging
No ecommerce
The navigation scrolls to sections of the same page, it doesn't link to separate pages
The Multi-Page | $4,000+ | 2 weeks
A full multi-page site with real navigation that links to separate pages, up to 5 of them, custom designed around your business and what you actually need people to do when they land on it.
This is the right fit if:
You have multiple services, offerings, or audience types that each need their own dedicated page
You want to build your SEO with multiple pages targeting different keywords
You're an established business ready to level up your online presence
Your budget is solid and you want a full website without going all the way to the Signature level
A few honest limitations:
Ecommerce isn't typically included at this level, if you need an online shop, the Signature Site is probably the better fit
The Signature Site allows for more custom details, advanced coding, custom graphics, and complex integrations, since more time in the budget means more of those touches get attention
The Signature Site | $4,500-$6,500 | 2-3 weeks
This is the full build. More pages, more custom everything, a brand strategy session, advanced SEO, copywriting, ecommerce if you need it, and a text-based logo if you don't have one yet. It's for established business owners or nonprofits who are ready for a complete transformation and want a site that truly does the heavy lifting.
This is the right fit if:
You're an established business or nonprofit ready to invest in something that reflects where you actually are
You have multiple services, a more complex site structure, or need ecommerce
You want help with copy and content, not just design
You want the most custom, strategic version of what's possible
A few honest limitations:
If you're brand new to business and still testing the waters, this level of investment might feel like a big leap. Starting with the Single Page and growing from there is a completely legitimate path, and plenty of businesses do exactly that
This package requires more from you upfront since there's more to build, more content, more decisions, more materials to gather. That said, if you don't have a logo, images, or copy yet, that's not a dealbreaker, those are things we can create together
Not sure which one IS THE BEST FIT?
Just starting out with a limited budget? → Single Page
Need multiple service pages and want to build your SEO? → Multi-Page
Need ecommerce or want to blog? → Multi-Page or Signature
Ready for a full transformation with all the bells and whistles? → Signature Site
Your situation doesn't fit neatly into any of these? → Book a discovery call
The best website for your business right now isn't necessarily the biggest one. It's the right one, built intentionally, and actively promoted once it's live. A poorly built site that misrepresents your brand or confuses visitors can work against you just as much as having no site at all. The goal is something you're proud to send people to; something that actually reflects the quality of what you do.
